There is always established societal standards and expectations as it relates to individual behavior, how one should dress, look, the house one should have, the car, the works… I, like most people I know, have been subjected to other people’s opinions of whom I should be, how to walk, talk and behave. Many fall prey to other people’s ideals and expectations and lose themselves, their individuality…I am not one of those persons, and neither should you!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not perfect or have everything figured out. I doubt myself sometimes, sometimes I have second thoughts about doing something out of fear that ‘people’ will judge me or think it was silly to make that decision. Sometimes I feel guilty (for lack of a better word), that I am the way I am, I sometimes feel like I should downplay myself to make people accept me more. I sometimes want to live up to people’s expectations and please everyone and make everyone accept and love me… but I found out that that is not me, that you can NEVER please everyone… I don’t give a hell what people think! I am stubborn and always want things my way, why should I have to change myself to suit anyone?! I’m fabulous as it is already!…, I should multiply myself instead of watering me down… it took me a while to get there, it took me a while to accept my awesomeness irrespective of who want to feel inferior, it’s not my fault I’m ALL THAT! :)… I’m not cocky, I’m confident!, I’m confident in who I am, what I stand for and where I want to go… and so should YOU!…

Don’t let anyone tell you what to do or who to be. Take your time and figure yourself out. You owe yourself that much. The world comprises many types of people; don’t rob the world of the awesomeness that is you! Embrace yourself, your flaws, your insecurities, everything that makes you, you. No one thinks, looks (unless you are a twin), or behaves the way you do! If someone doesn’t like you, to hell with them! Not everyone will like you, not everyone will think you are ALL THAT!… The most important opinion is the one that you have about you!… So go, Soar!,… DO YOU! 🙂
